Wir laden zum Tanz. Pop, Disco, 80s-Synth-Techno, Synthie-Beats und Falco-Schlager. Die KAPU präsentiert die ultimative und beste Tanzparty des Jahres.

Die sympathische und einzige Pop Diva des Landes, ANKATHIE KOI, die nerdigen Nerds von POWERNERD und der gute Laune verbreitende GUTLAUNINGER beehren die KAPU.

Ankathie Koi

Ankathie Koi stammt aus Oberbayern, lebt und arbeitet in Wien. Mit ihrer Band Fijuka hat sie eine eigene Soundästhetik erschaffen, der sie auch mit ihrem Soloprojekt manchmal mehr, manchmal weniger treu bleibt. Ihre einzigartige Stimme, die spielerisch zwischen 3 Oktaven herumwirbelt und keinen Vergleich mit internationalen Popdiven zu scheuen braucht, leiht sie gerne auch Projekten in ihrem künstlerischen Umfeld (z.B. Singles mit Black Palms Orchestra oder Powernerd). Im Jahr 2016 wurde sie eingeladen das Wiener Popfest zu kuratieren. Ihrem Solodebüt auf der „Sticky Fins EP“ folgt nun bald das „I hate the way you chew“, das alle ihre umfangreichen Aktivitäten der letzten Jahre in einem Album konzentriert.

Powernerd

We don’t know the people (?) behind Powernerd.We do know that there are three of them: an android with Yngwie Malmsteen-programming, a synth-technopriest, and a drumrobot. Not a drum machine but an actual robot on drums. This sounds (and looks) somewhat like Daft Punk mixed with Bunker Records and John Carpenter soundtracks. That’s not surprising, given that they claim to be from the dystopic future of the 1980s.That is, the dystopic future as imagined in the 80s. They travelled to the past (our present) to rule us. Or control us via midi bass controllers. Or something like that. To be honest we weren’t really listening, they were talking in robot voices constantly, it was really annoying.
